I did the original sand texture because after I had done lightmaps for sandtrap, the sand texture showed its true colors. A fully lit texture is done by using the equation: diffuse * lighting.
It was fixed by me, spartan094, and cls grunt before disaster got to it. And even so it was fixed a few more times.

I made the texture being used right now a long time ago. Long before you or Spartan started working on Sandtrap.

For the sand it looks like it has little pockets everywhere. Why not make something of a sand texture like this...

I could easily put work into halo CE. However, I have a job and my future to focus on. When ever I get time to make a halo map, I will. Halo was the game that got me going in the direction I am and I want to give back to the community that helped me so much along the way. The only thing preventing me at the moment is future opportunities to progress in my trade.
